This Quonset Hut model is printed in metallic silver to replicate the look of galvanized steel—no painting required! However, like all 3D printed models, faint layer lines and patterns may be visible. If you prefer a smoother finish, the model can easily be painted to minimize or hide these lines. Please refer to the product photos for examples of the unpainted version.

About the Quonset Hut:
A Quonset hut is a lightweight, prefabricated structure made from corrugated galvanized steel, easily recognized by its signature semi-cylindrical shape. Developed in the United States during WWII and inspired by the British Nissen hut of WWI, Quonset huts were mass-produced for military use. After the war, surplus huts were sold to the public and repurposed for workshops, storage, housing, and more. The name originates from Quonset Point, Rhode Island—home of the first manufacturing site.
